Sarah Foley Gray, 39, went home to be with her Lord on January 6th, 2023, after battling complications from an undetected Streptococcus infection.
Sarah was born on March 17th, 1983. She was an adorable and happy baby and an incorrigible toddler. Sarah attended Worthington Christian Schools, K-12, and graduated in 2001. She attended Capital University and then transferred to Otterbein College, graduating in 2005 with her bachelor’s degree in graphic design. Sarah married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Nathanael Paul Gray on December 13, 2003. Together they had three beautiful children, Madison Doon Gray (16), Rivers Patrick Gray (12) and Renwick Foley Gray (8).
Loved by everyone she met; Sarah had an uncanny ability to connect with people instantly. She believed in the inherent goodness within others. She was nicknamed from early childhood “Sarah Sunshine” because her contagious laughter and playful spirit lightened the hearts of all she met. She had an incredible sense of humor and always looked for the good in every situation no matter the difficulty. Mercy and forgiveness were hallmarks of her character. She loved deeply and cared endlessly for anyone God placed in her path.
For the past five years, Sarah dedicated her professional life to bringing healthcare to people within underserved communities. She would go where most Medicare agents would not and would meet people in need at food banks and community centers where she would see them as people with dignity who deserved healthcare coverage. In this way, she transformed their lives by leading them toward, in many cases, their first healthcare plans. She truly cared about each and every client, providing support to them throughout their continued healthcare journey. Yet, the job Sarah took the most pride in was being a mother. She considered her three adorable children her greatest accomplishment.
In addition to her husband and children she is survived by her parents, Kevin and Leslie Foley; sister Elizabeth Fields (Luke); brothers John Foley (Julie); Daniel Foley (Caitlin Willett). She is also survived by in-laws Gary and Dale Ann Gray; brothers-in-law Seth Gray (Alaina Shearer); Benjamin Gray (Janie Jacoby); Adam Gray (Crystine) and sister-in-law Sarah Gray. Sarah was an adoring aunt to 11 nieces and nephews: Kaitlyn, Caleb and Karis Fields; Lucy, Ruby and Cosette Foley; Lily, Cohen, and Foster Gray, Benjamin Shearer; Evander Gray. She is also survived by many loving Aunts, Uncles and fun-loving adoring cousins who will miss her greatly! She was welcomed to heaven by her paternal grandparents, Mark and Dorothy Foley and her maternal grandparents, John and Nancy Pruden.
