Michael Joseph Palmer, 63, of Plain City, Ohio, passed away on Friday May 20, 2022. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 6, 1958, to the late Carolyn M. and Paul E. Palmer. He is preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, Rita L. and Charles W. Baxter, grandmother-in-law, Alice DiBella, niece, Venessa Burke, brother-in-law, William M. Boyd, and other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mike is survived by his loving wife of over 37 years Debbie Palmer, his four children, Gina, Maria, Vince (Savannah), and Charlotte, his three grandchildren, Clayton, Charlie, and Berkley, his siblings, Betsy, Chuck, Susan, and Matt, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Mike was an adored teacher at Jonathan Alder High School for almost 36 years. He began his 42-year teaching career at Bishop Watterson High School. Mike was a graduate of Saint Francis DeSales High School, Ohio Dominican University for his undergraduate degree, and Ashland University for his master’s degree. He was a loved and respected baseball, softball, and golf coach for most of his life. He dedicated his life to educating others, academically and athletically. Mike was extremely passionate about spreading knowledge, respecting his country, and supporting his family, friends, students, and athletes in every aspect of life. The family ask that family members only from 1-3 PM, for visitation, and friends from 5-8 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, PLAIN CITY/DUBLIN CHAPEL, 9720 SR 161, Dublin, OH 43064; where funeral service will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 at 3pm with visitation one hour prior to the time of service. A graveside service will be held 10 am Saturday at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway OH.
