Mary Theresa Fox

Mary T. Fox, age 92, of Stockport, Ohio, went to Heaven on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.  Born on June 11, 1928 in Columbus, OH to the late Louis and Beatrice VonVille. Mary graduated from Columbus Holy Rosary High School, Class of 1946.  In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers Louis (Mary) VonVille, Eugene (Patricia) VonVille, infant sister Donna Rose VonVille and son-in-law Paul Ward.  She had been married for nearly 70 years to the love of her life, Roger P. Fox, whom she met at a square dance.  Together they raised their family of five children: Patti (Gary) Kincade, Mike (Sue) Fox, Joyce Ward, Tim (Beth) Fox and Theresa (Randy Estridge) Hughes.  They have six grandchildren: Cecelia (Kevin) Doenges, Mary (Jeremy) Starkey, Edgar Fox, Danny (Ashley Davis) Hughes, Amber (Brian) Harriff, Jimmy (Sarah) Hughes and 12 great-grandchildren.  Mary had two special surviving sisters-in-law Ruth Macoy and Burnie Fox, and many loving relatives and friends.  Mary was a former long-time parishioner of St. James Catholic Church in McConnelsville, OH where she was a member of the Women’s Club.  She currently was a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church in Columbus, OH.  She was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, crafts, bird-watching and camping.  Mary was also a member of the Farm Bureau.  She organized and hosted 19 well attended family reunions ensuring everyone felt welcome and part of the family fun planned day. She enjoyed baking and made the finest Orange Slice Cake and Valentine’s Day Cake for her family. 

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00p.m. THURSDAY, AUGUST 6, 2020 (with Rosary prayed at 6:45 p.m.) at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, DUBLIN-PLAIN CITY CHAPEL, 9720 S.R. 161, Plain City, OH 43064 (614)-733-0080.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00a.m. FRIDAY, AUGUST 7, 2020 at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6899 Smoky Row Road, Columbus, OH 43235 with The Reverend Christopher Tuttle, Celebrant.   Mary’s Funeral Mass will also be live-streamed and available for viewing on this website. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH.

Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, the State of Ohio requires that all guests practice Social Distancing at the Funeral Home and the Church.  Facial coverings are required.
