Jeanne Trask died October 16, 2022 peacefully, surrounded by family at Mayfair Village, Columbus, Ohio following a brief illness.
She was born Jeanne Frances Anderson to Harold and Mary (Weber) Anderson November 3, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Jeanne deeply loved babies and children. This was evidenced in many ways throughout her life. She worked as a registered maternity nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital for many years where she cared for countless infants, including her own grandson, Davis. She is survived by her four children: Cynthia (Bill), Laurence (Holly), Michael (Marcy) and Richard, and five grandchildren: Aaron, Erika, Monica, Ethan and Davis. She had a knack for noticing qualities and talents in her children, deftly guiding them to their careers. She was predeceased by her former husband, Laurence M. Trask.
Jeanne attended Bowling Green University. In 1976 she earned her nursing degree from Columbus State Community College. Active in the Dublin Community Church, she performed in the choir and as an organist. In high school she enjoyed playing the French horn and continued to love music throughout her life.
Among her many talents were her craft abilities. She won awards for her macrame’, ceramics, and handmade porcelain dolls including one of famed nurse Clara Barton. She kept an extensive collection of antique dolls. She also enjoyed sewing, embroidery, cooking, and painting; In the early years of her marriage she would paint the front picture window with a different Christmas scene each year to the delight of the entire neighborhood.
A small private family ceremony will be held in her honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, consider remembering her with a donation to the children's charity of your choice.
