Janice Marie Thieret

Janice Marie Thieret, age 78, of Columbus, OH passed away surrounded by family and pastors on Monday, July 8, 2024. Janice was born on October 30, 1945 in Parma, Ohio, to the late Elsie (Niedermeyer) and Albert Mzik.

Janice attended Kent State University. She received her Associates degree from Cuyahoga Community College as a X-Ray Technician as well as the Ohio Society Radiological Technologists award for First Place Student. She spent her years not only as an X-Ray Technician but as well as a Beautician. Janice was a religious woman who loved Jesus, she understood that life was short so she took the time to enjoy the little things, and always ate her dessert first! She collected bells and precious moments figurines, raised ducks, chickens, rabbits and sheep. Janice was also a competitive bingo player, always raiding the vending machine with her winnings. She will be missed by so many. Janice and her brother Allan Mzik relied on each other through the good and the bad. 

Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Elsie (Niedermeyer) & Albert Mzik, as well as her brother, Allan Mzik.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Pleines (Gary) and Julie Holt (Tim), and her grandchildren, Brennan & Ryan Chung, Rebecca Holt and Briana Beatty (Zack).

The family will receive friends for a visitation and funeral service on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 9720 SR-161, Plain City, OH, 43064, with the visitation beginning at 2:30 and ending at 3:30 for the service to begin.
