George Limbert

George Limbert passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer on February 14, 2023 in Port Charlotte, FL. Born on September 9, 1948 to Darrel and Zita Limbert, he was preceded in death by his son Kevin Limbert and his wife, Linda Limbert. 

He is survived by his son Steve and his wife Debbie, grandchildren Patrick, Maggie, Grace, Tommy, and Caroline; brothers John (Janice) Limbert, Jim (Mary Ann) Limbert, Fred (Charles) Limbert; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren, and step grandchildren; and an amazing group of friends and neighbors spread across the country.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, George attended Chaminade High School where he excelled as a football player. Upon attending The Ohio State University, he majored in Accounting and subsequently completed his CPA. The majority of his professional life was dedicated to building housing for economically disadvantaged people and seniors. In retirement he spent his days in the warm weather of Florida that he’d always promised himself he’d do.

A fixture at every family gathering, George will be remembered and missed for his humor, his wit, and affection for his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Brigid of Kildare Church, 7179 Avery Rd, Dublin, OH 43017 on FRIDAY, MARCH 31, 2023 at 11:00AM.
