George A. Collins

George A. Collins, age 88, of West Jefferson, Ohio, met his Savior on Saturday, January 1, 2022, while at home surrounded by his family. Born in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late George and Eva Grace Collins. George was a retired security Corrections Officer with the Chillicothe Corrections Center with 26 years of service.  He was a member of Hayden Baptist Church in Hilliard, Ohio.  For many years. George served as a Deacon and loved to sing gospel songs. His interests included going to church, camping and traveling with his family whom he dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Wilma Fay Collins, brothers Ward, Marvin, and Donald and his sisters Alice and Dorothy. George is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Mary Collins; daughter: Ella Mae Collins; and step-children: Phillip Johnson, Melinda (Chris) Bateman, Rosanna (Ron) Mansfield, Bonnie (Bob) Engle, and Darlene (Brian) McKay.  He was blessed to have numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
