Emma Sanchez Cestero, age 97, of Columbus, Ohio died at Forrest Hills Nursing home on June 19, 2023. She was born in Cartago, Costa Rica on June 28, 1925 to the late Faustino Sanchez and Linda Sanchez.
She is survived by her only daughter Maria Perez, and 10 grandchildren Jose Antonio Perez, Marcos Perez, Rebecca Perez, Isaac Perez, David Perez, Gabriel (Gaby) Perez, Sarai Perez-Paredes, Eliezer (Eli) Perez, Juan Carlos Perez, and Walter (Wally) Perez. With 18 grandchildren from oldest to youngest Luis Angel Perez, Emmy Anderson-Perez, Michaella (Mickey) Holley, Isabel (Isa) Perez, Linda Abigail Holley, Kasandra (Kasi) Maribel Perez, Jeremiah Isaac Perez, Marcos Francisco Perez, Carissa Perez, Rachael Marie Holley, Julian Daniel Perez, Lea Christina Perez, Lucas Gabriel Perez, Josiah Perez, Judith Isamarie Perez, Isaak Jr. Perez, Kristin Mari Perez, John Daniel Perez, and three great-grandchildren Celsy Perez, Mekayla Perez, and Aziel Perez.
Emma enjoyed drawing, art, traveling, and was a habitual walker since she never got licensed to drive. She will be missed.
Celebration of life will be on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 12:00 pm with the service starting at 02:00 pm in the Tidd Funeral Home at 9720 OH-161, Plain City, OH 43064, Ph: 614-733-0080 with Pastor Otto Romeo, officiating. Burial services will be at a later date at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 3225 Dublin Rd, Hilliard Ohio, 43026.
