Bryan Joseph Wojcik
April 29, 1971 – September 18, 2024
Bryan Joseph Wojcik, age 53 of Dublin, Ohio was brought home to meet his Savior on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Dearborn, Michigan to parents John C. and Clelia J. Wojcik, he was a graduate of Dublin High School, Class of 1989.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Giuseppe & Ursula Di Prima, his paternal grandparents John & Mary Wojcik, his “uncle & aunt” Cletus & Jessie Maynard, his uncle J. Larry Jameson, and his beloved cousin Joseph R. Di Prima. He is survived by his parents John & Clelia Wojcik, his brother and sister in-law Christopher & Jessica Wojcik, and his nephew/God son Jonathan Wojcik.
He is also survived by his God parents Guy Di Prima (uncle) and Vickie Witt. Along with Mary Lou Jameson (aunt), Gary (uncle) & Carol (aunt) Wojcik, Joseph M. Di Prima (uncle). Cousins Renee (Jameson) Dalter, Jennifer (Jameson) & Mark Somerville, Julie Jameson, Danielle (Di Prima) & Darren Candella, Jessica (Di Prima) & Michael Lewis, Stephanie (Wojcik) Tluczek, and Rosa Candella.
Bryan loved the outdoors and had a passion for hunting, shooting, and fishing. He often dreamed of owning a home situated on a lake in his beautiful “home” state of Michigan. Along with his dad (John) and his brother (Christopher), Bryan shared a love of University of Michigan football, Detroit Lions football, and Detroit Red Wings hockey.
While Bryan had a long, successful career in telecom sales for AT&T, and Anixter and then a stint in security sales for Alarmax Distributors, monetary gain was never what motivated him. What fueled his life was his extreme love and devotion to his family and his vast network of friends. He easily cultivated relationships and was thought by many to be the type of human being who brings other humans together.
His love for his nephew and God son Jonathan (age 9) ran deepest, however. Bryan made it his goal in life to ensure that Jonathan was provided all the tools necessary to one day become an independent and productive member of our society despite his autism. Jonathan possesses may of the beautiful qualities that Bryan exemplified, and his memory will live on inside of Jonathan forever.
Despite his young age, to his family, he was their protector. He was strong and brave, yet compassionate and sensitive. He was completely selfless and loyal to a fault, often placing himself at risk physically or financially to help someone he loved who was in need. He was (and always will be) indeed a very special human being and will be missed forever.
