Beth Ann McCord, daughter of Ebba McCord (Anderson) and Clair McCord, was born on May 24, 1963, in Dover, OH. She died peacefully surrounded by her cousin Liz Fell and her best friend of 50 years Denise Korns on Saturday, December 30, 2023. She had spent several weeks at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH, after a long battle with chronic health issues.
Beth was a proud graduate of Dover High School and The University of Akron with an Associate Degree of Applied Business. She was employed by Nationwide Insurance as an Executive Secretary for 15 years. She was a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, where she achieved the designation of Certified Administrative Professional.
Beth attended St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Dublin, OH. Along with researching her family history, Beth enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, and visiting with friends and family. Her loved ones remember her love of trivia, movies, card games, rainbows, Snoopy, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. She is also noted for her wonderful sense of humor and her deep bond with her cat Mittens, who was with her for almost two decades.
Beth is survived by her nephew Scott (Susy) Tedrick, Jacksonville, FL, and niece Sara (Anish) Parikh, Morristown, NJ; sister-in-law Sue (John) Burgi, Avilla, IN; step-mother Linda McCord, Marietta, GA; step-siblings Kris (Michael) Noonan, Ballston Spa, NY, Gretchen (Jenn Erwood) Uschold, Encinitas, CA, and George (Shannon) Uschold, Marietta, GA; step-nieces Annaliese and Lorelei Uschold; great niece Katelyn Tedrick; and great nephews Cody Tedrick, Matthew Diaz, and Mohan Parikh.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Stephanie Tedrick and brother Jeffrey McCord. Stef, Jeff, and Beth are creating mischief together again.
A Memorial Service will be held 4:00p.m. MONDAY, JANUARY 15, 2024 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, PLAIN CITY DUBLIN CHAPEL, 9720 SR 161, Plain City, OH 43064 (614)-733-0080. Family will receive friends before the service from 2:00-4:00p.m. MONDAY.
