Aaron Christopher Eckstein, a wonderful man to all who knew him, tragically and unexpectedly passed away on February 29, 2024. Aaron was born on December 27, 1976, to George and Malorie Eckstein. After Aaron graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1995, he went to college at The Ohio State University, graduating in 1999 with a degree in finance. Aaron went on to work for the Auditor of State, Nationwide Insurance, and most recently Bread Financial. He also recently earned his master’s degree in cybersecurity. Aaron was married November 13, 1999 to Christy (Hoewischer).
Aaron was a considerate son and family member, a loving husband, a compassionate and hardworking employee, and a supportive and affectionate father to his two children, Addyson and Avery Eckstein.
Aaron’s favorite activities included cheering for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Pittsburgh Steelers, watching golf on Sundays, fishing with his family, boating on lakes, listening to his favorite bands such as Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters, watching his children compete in their sports, and making those around him smile and laugh. He was also a member of Heritage Country Club in Hilliard where he loved to golf with his son.
Aaron was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles and Lela Martin, his paternal grandparents Robert and Marjorie Eckstein, Uncle David Eckstein, Aunt Marilyn Eckstein, Uncle Steve Eckstein, Aunt Judy Eckstein, Aunt Sonja (Fuller) Eckstein, Uncle Phil Harris and cousin Jerry Eckstein.
He is survived by his mother Malorie (Martin) Eckstein, father George Eckstein, wife Christy Eckstein, daughter Addyson Eckstein, son Avery Eckstein, brother Ryan Eckstein (Karen), niece Morgan Eckstein, nephew Gabe Eckstein, nephew Noah Eckstein, Aunt Holly Harris (Eckstein), Aunt Jill Martin, along with many loving cousins, family, and friends.
Aaron was the best son a parent could ever have. He worried about his parents and included them in many of his family outings. He took them to many events he knew they would enjoy. Throughout his life he and his brother did so many things that made their parents proud.
Family will receive friends from 11am-1pm. FRIDAY, MARCH 8, 2024 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, DUBLIN-PLAIN CITY CHAPEL, 9720 SR 161, Plain City, OH 43064 (614)-733-0080 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation hours and begin at 1:00p.m. FRIDAY.
